How We Use AI

Our Approach to AI

There is a larger debate about whether artificial intelligence will ultimately benefit or harm society. That discussion is important, but it is not the subject of this page. This page explains our approach to using AI tools to assist with content for this website, not our overall philosophy of artificial intelligence.

We believe AI is a tool that can be used responsibly or irresponsibly. We may use it to assist with website design and article development, but always under human direction and in a way that reflects careful study, human responsibility, and biblical truth. We do NOT use AI to write prayers.

How AI Assists Us

AI may help us organize a subject, identify questions, suggest an outline, develop an initial draft, improve wording, reduce repetition, or arrange notes, passages, and ideas into a structured study. It is one tool in the preparation and editing process, similar to research materials, reference tools, writing software, or assistance from another writer.

AI assistance does not mean that we produce an article in a few minutes. Most posts involve an extended process of discussion, research, drafting, questioning, revision, and careful review. The twenty-five-part Eye of the Needle series, for example, took several months to develop before it was ready. Each part required careful attention to its biblical content, historical details, organization, and wording. While some shorter pieces may be completed more quickly, our normal process involves far more than entering a few ideas into AI and publishing the result.

AI does not replace careful study or human judgment. It can make mistakes, misunderstand a question, provide incomplete information, or state something too confidently. Its suggestions are therefore examined, verified, revised, or rejected rather than accepted automatically.

Scripture and Human Responsibility

We do not treat AI as a spiritual authority, a source of revelation, or a substitute for the Bible. AI does not determine our doctrine, define the gospel, or decide what is true. Scripture is the final authority for the biblical convictions expressed on this site.

Human writers and editors guide each article, evaluate its reasoning and biblical claims, check historical and theological details, and determine how it is presented. When an article includes a particular interpretation, we seek to identify it clearly rather than suggesting that every conclusion is beyond legitimate discussion. The final responsibility for the accuracy, wording, biblical faithfulness, and publication of every article belongs to us.

Our Commitment

We believe readers deserve honesty about how content is produced. When AI assists with an article, it does not replace the Bible, careful study, prayer, discernment, or human responsibility.

Our goal is to use AI carefully, honestly, and responsibly so that every article points readers to the truth of Scripture and encourages thoughtful study of God’s Word.
